Whether you're hosting a wedding, a Christmas party or a sophisticated celebration in the Hunter Valley, the Portrait Experience brings an editorial edge to your event photography. Each guest has an unhurried moment in front of the camera and leaves with a timeless black-and-white portrait. With professional lighting, thoughtful direction and a refined aesthetic, I create guest portraits that feel luxurious and rise above the traditional photo booth experience.
01. THE SESSION
A great portrait begins with connection. In a few unhurried minutes, with gentle direction and beautiful light, each guest relaxes into the frame, and the result is an editorial portrait that feels polished, personal and a little bit playful. It's an experience guests talk about long after the evening ends.
02. THE EDIT
No filters or heavy retouching. Each portrait is edited by hand to look natural, flattering and unmistakably the person who sat for it.
03. POST EVENT
With a lightning speed turnaround guests can browse the full online gallery, download their portrait in high resolution, ready to print, frame or share. If the session was part of wedding, this is the perfect wedding favour and creates a beautiful collection of images of your nearest and dearest who would normally not be photographed with such consideration during the day.

Includes travel within Newcastle and the Lower Hunter Valley. For shoots outside these areas please enquire.
Additional sessions
Hosting more guests? Add portrait sessions in blocks of 10. Weddings and larger groups may require extra time on site, which can be confirmed upon enquiry.
Prints
Both hosts and their guests can access the full digital gallery and order fine art prints directly.

FAQs
I set up a styled portrait space close to where your guests are gathering. Guests step in when they like, have their portrait taken in a couple of unhurried minutes, then head back to the celebration. There's no queue to manage and no schedule for you to run. I require a space around 3m x 4m.

How does it work?
How many portraits can you take in one session?

The minimum package includes up to 50 portrait sessions in around 1.5 hours. A session can be one guest, a couple or a small group, so the number of people photographed is often higher. If you have more guests, additional sessions can be booked in blocks of 10, and I'll let you know if extra time on site would help. Enquire with details of your event and we can work out the details.
We want to include the portrait session during the cocktail hour at our wedding, but we already have photographer...can we have both?

Of course! The Portrait session runs independently from your photographer and videographer, so it won't affect your existing bookings. I work alongside your team and take care of the guest portraits so they can focus on the rest of your day. It’s a beautiful inclusion and means that all your guests have the opportunity to be captured professionally. It’s also a nice experience for your guests whilst you’re having your own photos taken elsewhere.
A 3 × 4 metre space that sits naturally within cocktail hour. I bring the backdrop, lighting and equipment, you and your guests bring the vibe.

Every portrait is individually edited and delivered in a private online gallery, where guests can download their images at no extra cost. Hosts and guests can purchase prints through the online gallery.
When will the gallery be ready?

Within 48 hours of your event. Same day delivery can be discussed at an additional fee.
Can we gift this as our wedding favour?

Absolutely. Instead of a traditional favour that may be forgotten or left behind, you're giving each guest something unique and personal, created at your wedding. A beautifully finished portrait they (or you) can print, frame and keep for years.
How can I use my portrait?

Your portrait is yours to print, frame and share for personal use. Commercial use, such as advertising or business promotion, isn't included, but I'm happy to discuss a licence if you need one.
